There are four major reasons for this, she added.
The first is the ongoing struggle of parents dealing with children at home. "There is a real lack of childcare that still exists," Barry said.
While the economy is in the process of fully reopening, some schools and day care centers don't yet operate as they did pre-pandemic — so some working parents are still being forced to balance their child care responsibilities with their jobs. That's even trickier for those who have to leave their homes to work.
Children as young as 12 years old can now get vaccinated in the United States, but younger kids aren't eligible yet. Parents with young children still have to weigh the Covid-19 risks in their day-to-day lives for a while longer.
Secondly, "there are still health concerns," Barry said. "And people who maybe don't want a career in retail due to health concerns."
Third, retail is among the jobs that have changed most heavily over the last year. At many companies staff members were turned into essential front-line workers overnight, as unlike those in other industries they couldn't work from home. Not every retail worker may want to continue to sign up for that as the pandemic continues.
Finally, companies like Best Buy are facing more competition for staff. Major companies including Under Armour (UA), Amazon (AMZN) and Walmart (WMT), have raised their minimum wage to attract workers.
And picking a job during these times is no longer just about money.
Now, said Barry, "it's about a wholesome set of benefits that we can put in place, and flexibility that we can put in place, so that we're able to retain a diverse workforce."

công ty thiếu nhân viên, hàng hoá bị đóng băng ...tiền trả công thợ, kiếm người làm cái backyard đòi giá gần gấp đôi ..

đúng là 1 số business thừa nước đục thả câu, nhà nước cũng vậy, 1 điều tui biét chắc chắn for sure
đa số gỗ bên Mỹ là nhập từ Canada, hơn 1 năm đại dịch, đóng cửa bớt cho nên giá lên như NTD nói, giờ mở cửa lại chính phủ Mỹ thừa nước đục thả câu lên thuế nhập cảng nhưng dân Mỹ không biết vì họ đã quen giá cao rồi , good job

chị cũng tính làm cái patio mà hỏi giá mắc quá mà ít người làm .
Chị lúc mới có dịch tính mua xe, mà ox kêu đợi Oct mua mới có xe đời 2020, giờ xe mắc hơn 3-5000/chiếc, thôi đợi tiếp
ox chị long weekend bên đây mưa tầm tả 3 ngày, không làm vườn được không đi đâu, ổng đi mua ván ép về đóng shelf dưới basement để chất đồ nhà bếp của chị, ổng cũng nói như Đẹp, giá gổ lên khoảng 25%.
Giờ thịt thà mắc tiếp tại bọn cyber attrackers khốn kiếp .

đòi cái backyard nhà $15K ...giật mình, còn cái fence có tí tẹo đòi $5K ..total $20K
cai' fence chia ra nhà Đẹp với thằng hàng xóm bị gió làm gãy ..mà tại xập xong 2 nhà nhìn nhau ghét quá kêu người estitame làm luôn 2K, mỗi nhà trả 1k ..
năm sau mới dám làm back yard chị Rice ..giờ mọi thứ để đó không làm, cái gì cũng mắc ..

Bạn của SIL có cái convenience store bán ở cây xăng than rằng từ năm rồi nhân viên 0 chịu đi làm nửa làm 2 vợ chồng đành phải đứng ra mướn luôn mấy người có tiền án bởi vì họ 0 thể tự gồng gánh cửa tiệm một mình 24/7 được!
Hãng của Gà cũng struggling to find workers và phải offer tiền cho người ta show up for interview! Nói chung thì nhiều người nghỉ ở nhà collect unemployment và được thêm tiền hằng tuần và stimulus money cũng tương đương như đi làm hoặc hơn mà còn ở nhà trông con được thì why not! Gà nghỉ chính phủ nên cắt bỏ cái vụ extra $300-$400/week và required những người applied for unemployment phải show proof that they applied for jobs giống như trước đây.
